Urban Myths
The Great Wall of China is the only man-made thing that can be seen from space.
Not true.
Given that 'space' usually means outside earth's atmosphere, this is obviously ridiculous. Space shuttle astronauts can see cities and even roads whilst in near-earth orbit. The Great Wall myth started out as the only man-made thing that can be seen from the moon. Just not true - no man-made objects can be seen from the moon.Coca Cola created the modern image of Santa Claus .
Utter rubbish!.
The red-suited character existed in the 19th century. In 1885, a Boston printer issued a Christmas card featuring a Santa dressed in red. Over several years, the multi-coloured image of Santa changed to the red-suited character we all know. Not true
There is plenty of evidence that people have folded paper in half twelve times - is this the final limit? We will accept claims if you are the actual person to have done more folds.Italian dictator Benito Mussolini made the trains run on time
Not true
People who actually lived in Italy during the Mussolini era say that the Italian railway's legendary adherence to timetables was more myth than reality. Now, Japanese trains... that's a different matter!
