Pub Trivia is still incredibly popular in Melbourne and Melbourne Trivia is an experienced company in the field.
A regular trivia night can bring new customers into your bar on a quiet night of the week, building a regular clientèle of players. Trivia can also broaden the way your local community sees your venue. It is not only good for business but entertaining too.
Our style is sophisticated, relaxed and up to date with an emphasis on laughter. Questions cover music, sport, popular culture and general knowledge. Over the first few weeks we work hard to assess and adapt to the needs and tastes of your customers.
The night lasts about 2 hours, usually starting at a time that encourages players to come in and eat at your restaurant or bar.
We provide everything needed for the evening, including answer sheets, pens and sound equipment.
The Night
Our hotel trivia nights usually last for about two hours including two short breaks. We provide a professional host, answer sheets, pens and sound — we are happy to plug our microphone and music source into your system if it is easier.
Each night includes general knowledge, an audio music round, spot questions and a 'Hero' round where one person competes from each team.
For spot questions and 'Hero' rounds we recommend 'Trivia Bucks' vouchers that can be exchanged for drinks. We discuss with you how many to award on a night. Alternatively, you may choose to offer a jug or a round of drinks or similar.
You will need to provide the following...
A weekly prize for the winning team (usually a $50.00 meal/drinks voucher)
Drinks exchanged for 'Trivia Bucks' vouchers or as awarded
Season or 'Grand Final' award (Melbourne Trivia will provide and pay for engraved plates with the winning teams' names if you have a trophy)
To encourage regular attendance, we usually run a 'Ladder Season' of 12 weeks with an award to the season winner. We also have a weekly newsletter about what's happening including the current ladder positions.
